Paying attention to the relationship between belief, character and behavior can give a different definition of action. The aim of this research is to reach a definition of action according to this relationship, which is followed by descriptive-analytical method. Mulla Sadra differentiates the action from the verb with the phrase "prior knowledge of the action". Giving knowledge is the responsibility of the practical intellect, which perceives the generalities through the theoretical intellect. The three components of each of the authorities of religion, i.e. science, state, and practice, are the introduction and the result. After practical reason creates awareness for us, we do actions repeatedly. This repetition creates queens and morals in the soul. After the queens, knowledge is created. The fruit of this knowledge is the present and the queen, which cause action to be issued. With the creation of a higher level of knowledge, actions are performed that make the queens of the soul more stable. Of course, these queens of the soul also affect the cognitive function of the soul. From this point of view, actions are a prelude to acquiring knowledge. The actions we do and the virtues our soul acquires help purify the heart from impurities and remove obstacles that do not allow us to access the truth. Therefore, the role of action in this relationship is secondary and transverse, and our actions are not inherently our intentions.
