Comparative philosophy in Iran has so far gone through three periods: early, late, and contemporary. The main issue is to examine the challenges of comparative philosophy in the spatial and temporal scope of contemporary Iran, which, using a descriptive-analytical method, examines the pathology of the challenges and obstacles that have slowed down the movement of comparative philosophy. The findings indicate that comparative philosophy in the contemporary period, by proposing a new meaning, has moved beyond Oursel's model of proportionality and reached Henry Corbin's model of comparative wisdom. After him, three trends emerged: the continuation of the Corbin approach in people like Izutsu, the trend of confrontation in some intellectuals, and the trend of differentiation like the New-sadraians.The existence of two ecosystems, the seminary and the university, and two continental approaches and an approach close to analysis are other characteristics of the contemporary period. Conclusion:Challenges and obstacles such as recurring deadlocks over the basics such as the nature of philosophy and comparison, the negation of the sides of comparison, the existence of alternative theories, and the lack of establishing a relationship with current culture are among the issues that require pathology in order for comparative philosophy in Iran to continue its growth and movement.
