Experiences such as lucid dreaming, near-death experiences, hypnosis, mystical revelation, and out-of-body experiences, in transcendental wisdom, can be interpreted as transtemporal and transspatial functions of the soul and evidence of the abstract nature of the soul. However, critics of neuroscience, by attempting to explain mental and physical events through neural means, provide a counterexample to the philosophical claim of the abstract nature of the soul. However, these explanations are limited in terms of testability, neural explanation, and generalizability from a neuroscience perspective. These criticisms include three methodological, epistemological, and ontological sections. The present study, using an analytical-comparative approach, addresses criticisms of the empirical evidence of the abstract nature of the soul in transcendental wisdom in order to state the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence and then the criticisms. Although neural explanations cannot encompass all levels of empirical evidence, they do accurately explain the neural effects on physical events. The specific psychology of transcendental wisdom has the possibility of providing more precise and comprehensive explanations about the concept of the soul's individuality with the help of neuroscientific findings that have been neglected so far.
