Epistemic colonialism, by imposing modern representationalism, has established mediated, objectifying cognition as the sole universal paradigm of rationality, thus marginalizing non-transcendental and indigenous epistemic domains. Grounded in Hikmat al-Muta’aliyah (Transcendent Philosophy), this analytical-critical study addresses how the Asalat al-Wujud (Primordiality of Existence) and its corollaries challenge epistemological representationalism to construct the ontological foundations of a “Theology of Resistance.” Research findings indicate that Ilm al-Huduri (Immediate Knowledge)—through the unity of the knower and the known and the negation of subjective mediation—neutralizes hegemonic discourse and power/knowledge structures at a pre-conceptual level. From this standpoint, epistemic colonialism is not merely an epistemic injustice but an ontological disorder caused by reducing the plural, graded tiers of reality to rigid mental constructs. In its application, by extending the principle of Tashkik (Graded Existence) to the Quranic concept of social monotheism, this reading elevates the Theology of Resistance from a merely reactive or ethico-political position to an affirmative stance for decolonizing science and realizing epistemic justice within a pluri-ontological university model.
